What NURS 718 covers

The course reads Tan and Payton's Adaptive Health Management Information Systems with Zaccagnini and White's The Doctor of Nursing Practice Essentials. Forum threads must be comprehensive, show course knowledge and be written at the graduate level, with replies to two classmates, and the case studies answer each case question in APA using the textbooks and other sources.

The HMIS project runs in three parts: an introduction of five to seven pages setting a vision and goals in keeping with the organization's mission with at least three scholarly sources, a planning section of ten to twelve pages and an implementation and evaluation section of ten to twelve pages, each of the last two with at least five scholarly sources.

Where NURS 718 papers lose points

Work in NURS 718 loses points when a system is chosen before the organization's needs are defined, when the plan ignores workflow, infrastructure or cost, when implementation lacks training and downtime procedures, and when evaluation measures cannot be collected.

Using a NURS 718 sample well

Read each sample for how an information system decision is tied to mission, evidence, workflow and measurable results. Your own organization and the course cases set the specifics; these pages show the scale and reasoning each assignment expects.
