What NURS 626 covers
The course reads Kouzes and Posner's The Leadership Challenge alongside the eighth edition of the Roussel administration text, and it finishes the 200-hour practicum; the curriculum vitae, professional portfolio, logs and evaluations are personal records and are not sampled here. Blog posts run 500 words or more with a recent peer-reviewed article and biblical principles, and each of three replies runs 250 words, challenges the classmate and brings its own article.
The capstone moves from a one-to-two page topic selection to an annotated bibliography of eight to ten recent peer-reviewed sources, a three-to-five page Roman numeral outline and a visual, narrated or video presentation with a Christian worldview. The leadership development project moves from a five-to-seven page leadership style reflection through the 30-item inventory and a group forum to a six-month plan for the lowest-scoring leadership practice.
This practicum course provides students an opportunity to demonstrate competencies in key elements of the Nurse Administrator role and apply the advanced practice role to a variety of professional practice settings. Students will integrate standards of professional nursing performance, ethical, legal and regulatory compliance to practice during a capstone project and experience.

Where NURS 626 papers lose points
Work in NURS 626 loses points when the capstone's sources are not tied to the practice change it proposes, when annotations stop at summary, when the leadership reflection lists theories without showing where they came from in the writer's own life, and when the development plan names a goal without checkpoints and resources.
